New lynda course: Architectural Interior and Detail

Dave ‘Professor3D’ Schultze is proud to announce the release of his tenth course for lynda.com, Rhino: Architectural Interior and Detail. Running 1 hour and 47 minutes, this course is the second of three in a series involving retro-themed buildings that make the material fun to watch and learn.

“Working with Dave Schultze is a pleasure and congratulations on his 10th Lynda.com course!” stated Linda Sellheim, the lynda.com Content Manager for 3D, Animation, and CAD. “Dave has been the voice of Rhino in the CAD library with consistently great reviews. His courses are articulate and informative, and I can always count on Dave for beautiful course assets.”

In this 13-video course, work focuses on building walls, doors, windows, and stairs, complete with landings and railings. Stairs are made easy with strategies to simplify the math. Using a fun, retro space-age design, Dave shares his favorite tips and tricks for a faster, more efficient workflow in Rhino.

New course at lynda.com: Building a Game Controller

Dave ‘Professor3D’ Schultze is proud to announce the release of his eighth online course for lynda.com, ‘Rhino Projects: Building a Gaming Controller.’ Running 1 hours and 8 minutes, this course is a brand new ‘lunch-hour / project-format’ designed by the educational gurus at lynda.com to be watched in one sitting.

In this 10-video course, the focus is on organic modelling, with fully half of the course devoted to mastering the powerful surface-from-curve-network command. The second half of the course covers every UI control you would expect: joysticks, buttons, triggers, a D-pad, and then wraps up with two killer tips for generating parting lines.

Those interested in previewing the course — or any of the other 4,000+ courses on lynda.com — are invited to a free 10-day trial. Free? You bet your sweet little penguin. If you like this course, here’s a link to the full list of eight lynda courses by Professor 3Dave. lynda.com Animation Course has Fantastic Start

In its first week of release, the course “Animation with Rhino and Bongo” is going crazy! Its the best launch of any Rhino course I have done for lynda.com. So far, over 600 people in 56 countries have seen it. That is A LOT for a two-hour & 30-minute commitment.

If you don’t have a lynda.com account, you can still preview 10% of any course. If you would like to join, it’s only $25 / month or unlimited viewing. Here’s a link for a free 10-day trial. Nice!

Now under development, the next course will be quite a bit different. It’s a new ‘mini-course’ format, where the work is focused on a single project and is completed in less than one hour. The goal is to let people ‘jump in & out’ and be able to finish it during a lunch hour. Stay tuned.
